Kyle Hammer climbs to fifth in Garry Swibold Memorial at Peoria

Kyle Hammer entered a single event over the weekend with Saturday's MARS Modified Championship sanctioned Garry Swibold Memorial after Friday night's stop at Brownstown Bullring fell to weather.

Joining 32 Modified entries at Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Ill.) on Saturday, Hammer secured a spot into the feature paying $2,000 to the winner with a runner-up heat showing. Climbing into the top-five, Kyle muscled to a fifth-place finish in the 30-lapper, chasing Michael Long, Mike McKinney, Trey Harris, and Michael Ledford across the line.

Kyle jumped up to fourth in the latest MARS Modified Championship point standings.
