Pair of top-10 finishes in Hell Tour stops at Farmer City and Highland
Back in action with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals on Friday, Kyle Hammer and Brent McKinnon Racing unloaded the Midwest Farm & Land Company No. 26H Late Model at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) to compete in a stout field of 44 Late Models for round 18 of the Hell Tour.
With a third-place finish in his heat race positioning him on the sixth row for the opening night feature, Hammer jumped up three positions in the 40-lapper to register a ninth-place finish.
For another $10,000-to-win Hell Tour event on Saturday at Highland Speedway (Highland, Ill.), Kyle missed a transfer spot by one car in his heat, relegating him into a B-Main. Needing to place second or better, Hammer edged his way into the show with a fourth-to-second run. Wheeling his way into the top-10, Kyle passed eight cars in the 40-lap affair to place 10th.
